ManageBac Reporting Workshop in Hong Kong: Recap

November 11, 2016

SchedHeader_MB_ReportingWorkshop4

On November 11, we held a ManageBac Reporting Workshop at Hong Kong Academy (HKA) where we welcomed 34 participants from International Schools across Hong Kong and Southern China. It was open to ManageBac users as well as those interested in adopting the system at their school who wanted to learn more about creating stunning report cards.

The morning started with a company update from ManageBac Associate Jennifer Huang, followed by an implementation story from Andy Birch (Director of Technology) and Jennifer Swinehart (Director of Research and Development) on how HKA manage the reporting process; from developing a timeline to delegating responsibilities.

Thereafter, participants moved into DP & MYP, and PYP-specific sessions facilitated by the ManageBac team (Jennifer Huang and Kieran Tully). Topics covered included programme setup, using the gradebook (individual and term assessment), customising reporting templates, and generating reports. The day heard a variety of questions and feature requests (both reporting-related and general), and offered a great opportunity to network with neighboring schools to share and learn their best reporting practices.

Wouter Kolkman from Shen Wai International School said, “Great to exchange experiences and meet ManageBac staff”.

Thank you to HKA for hosting a enjoyable day, especially to Jennifer and Andy who made it all possible!

ManageBac Reporting Workshop in Beijing: Recap

October 28, 2016

SchedHeader_MB_ReportingWorkshop4

On October 28, we held a ManageBac Reporting Workshop at the Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB). We were excited to welcome 44 participants from International Schools across Northern China. It was open to ManageBac users as well as those interested in adopting the system at their school who wanted to learn more about creating stunning report cards.

The day began with a warm welcome from Head of School at, Douglas K. Prescott, followed by a company update from Regional Director Asia-Pacific, RVenus Lai. We then moved into a full-day of programme-specific workshops run by the ManageBac team (RVenus Lai, Kieran Tully, and Daniel Doherty), starting from programme setup, understanding the gradebook (individual and term assessment), customising reporting templates, and generating reports.

Throughout the day there was opportunity to raise their toughest reporting questions, share their best practices, and learn from the experience of others. There was also time for general support questions, including unit planning, attendance, parent communication, and non-IB functionality.

Thank you to CISB for hosting a great day, especially to Marie Prescott who made it all possible!

MBUGC_Berlin_SchedHeader_HiRes

Registration for the third annual ManageBac User Group Conference in Europe is now open!

After welcoming over 150 participants from 80 IB World Schools to our ManageBac User Group Conference in The Hague, we are honoured to work with Berlin Brandenburg International School for our third conference on March 24-25, 2017.

Register Now

Based on feedback from our recent User Group Conference in Hong Kong, we will provide differentiation based on users’ existing ManageBac knowledge. The breakout sessions will indicate the ideal level of existing system knowledge. (e.g. a Level 1 breakout session would be geared for beginners, Level 2 for intermediate users, etc.)

We’re also excited to welcome our development team to the user group conference, so they can hear feature requests directly from our users.

If you are interested in speaking or facilitating at the conference, please send a brief proposal to Kevin Piersialla at kevin@managebac.com before October 31, 2016.
